Purposeful is a feminist hub for girls’ activism, rooted in Africa and working around the world. Their mission is to promote the conditions for girls to live in safety, dignity and freedom.

The brief was to create an animation for the Building Collective Power initiative, focused on nurturing solidarity among girls, raising consciousness, and exploring practical ways to bring a power-building lens to children’s and women’s rights.

Working closely with the client, we decided on kinetic typography as a cost-effective way to amplify the narrated message, alongside adding their existing brand illustrations. This allowed me to create an engaging film while making the most of the available resources.

I was thrilled to help Purposeful bring their message to life within their budget, producing a film that conveyed the energy and optimism behind the initiative.
